Not long ago we had just begun our coffee journey.

Everything we did was foreign and hard, every step was cautious and every morning brought a lot of new needs.

It's been 4 years since Café Tío Conejo started as a very small family business, full of hope and energy.

We have consolidated in that short period of time a very solid image as a business, we have created our own model of doing things, trying to take the great things we learned in the USA and combine them with all the intuitive knowledge found in the fields in Colombia.

Always concerned with the impact we have in the community, we have hired local employees, and have enrolled them all in full benefit contracts, with health, education and retirement benefits included. 

The environment is very important for us, that is why we have installed a water treatment system that prevents water shed contamination. We also avoid the use of pesticides for the management of insects.

Café Tio Conejo is sold in Colombia and in the USA as a medium roast. The raw material is obtained after a series of selective processes that imply, large number of handy work.

With  a selective picking of only ripe cherries, very strict selection in the fermentation process, hand picking in the drying beds and elimination of abnormal beans in the milling process and at the roaster, we provide a very unique and clean cup of coffee.
